Lizzie Ridout’s book ‘In Absentia’ is the latest publication from mind that brought us ‘Homeward Bound’ Lizzie’s new book is made as part of the Art of Lost Words exhibition where 41 artist were asked to pick a word due to disappear and re-use it in some way.

“My choice, ‘skirr’ is defined as ‘a whirring or grating sound, as of the wings of birds in flight or to move rapidly, esp. with a whirring sound.”
